Goldenview Middle School - Trip to France - June 2005Our French teacher, Madame Oakley, likes to travel with student groups. This year she and Mrs. Meade planned a trip to Paris and the Provence region of France. In past years she has taken groups to Guadelupe, Martinique, and other parts of France. We had to fill out an application with an essay and letters of recommendation from some of our teachers.
In November we found out we were selected to be part of the travel group. We met every month since then getting ready to go on our trip. We studied places in France, learned about passports and travel tips, and prepared to go abroad. Sometimes we met at Goldenview Middle School and other times we met at Mrs. Meade's house.
We held a car wash on May 14th to raise money to help pay for our trip. We raised over $1200.00! We washed a lot of cars!!!
