Goldenview Middle School - Trip to France - June 2005Bonjour!
This summer we went to France with our French teacher, Madame Oakley, and Mrs. Meade. We left Anchorage on Tuesday, June 14th and were in France for 12 days. There are 9 students and 5 adults that went on the trip. We spent three days in Paris having a whirlwind tour and then traveled via the TGV high speed train to Salon de Provence in the south of France. While we were in Paris we visited many places including:
In Salon de Provence each of us stayed with a host family. We went to a French school with our French brothers and sisters. We also had a number of trips planned around the Provence region in the 8 days we were there. Some of the places we visited include:
- Arles - Roman Arena
- Le Camargue - Wildlife Preserve
- Avignon
- Palais de Papes
- Cassis
- Aix-en-Provence
We loved France!
